Housing
”My top priority has always been
housing for all income levels”.

Adopted the Anaheim’s Housing
Strategic Plan in 2005; a plan
to provide 1200 new affordable
housing units for Anaheim residents.

Supports Anaheim’s Platinum
Triangle, the development of
a new urbanized “Downtown” that
will include over 10,000 new
residential units. This strategically
planned work/live community
will be adjacent to Anaheim’s
Regional Transportation Intermodal
Center; encouraging the use
of public transportation. |
Public Safety
”My goal has always been
to provide top police and fire safety
throughout the City of Anaheim”.

Approved hiring of additional
police officers, putting more
officers in our neighborhoods
and decreasing response times.

At the heart of the formation
and development of the Anaheim
Family Justice Center. Opened
in 2006, Southern California’s
only center that encompasses
collaboration and team work
between the Anaheim Police,
Social Services, Judicial System,
National Crime Database and
all Orange County Shelters.
This innovative center is recognized
nationally as a model for decreasing
family crime. |

Endorsed and approved the
addition of 3 new fire stations,
opening of the west Anaheim
Fire in 2007 was the first in
20 years. |
Traffic Improvement

The City of Anaheim’s traffic issues”.

Key proponent in the effort
to create the Anaheim Regional
Transportation Intermodal Center
(ARTIC), a first of its kind
transportation hub. ARTIC will
access the future high speed
rail system, as well as other
public transportation modes,
allowing for workers and visitors
to move in and out of Anaheim
in a swift and effective way.

Works personally to insure
growth and success of the Anaheim
Sister City Association. In
2006 traveled to Mito, Japan
to represent Anaheim in the
30 year anniversary celebration
of the Anaheim-Mito relationship.

class venue to further enhance
